½" Sound-intensity Pair Type 40AK
The Type 40AK is a complete set of two phase-matched ½" intensity microphones, solid spacers and adapters for a pair of ¼" Preamplifiers Type 26AA. The microphones have a free field response optimised for use in face-to-face configuration intensity probes and have high a sensitivity to enable low-level measurements.

The pair of microphones fulfil the phase requirements for Class 1 intensity microphones according to IEC International Standard 1043. The Type 40AK includes solid spacers for intensity-probe configurations with 12 mm, 25 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm microphone separations to cover the full frequency range from 50 Hz up to 10 kHz, even under the most adverse measurement conditions.

The 40AK also includes one straight and two right-angled adapters to connect the microphones with a pair of ¼" Preamplifiers such as the Type 26AA.

½" Sound-intensity Pair Type 40AI
A pair of phase-matched ½" intensity microphones similar to the Type 40AK but without spacers and adapters for ¼" preamplifiers. The Type 40AI is used in the G.R.A.S. Intensity Probe Type 50AI.
